Charlie has enjoyed a successful career as a highly respected professional in the food service industry for the past twenty-five years. Working in progressively responsible management capacities, over his career he has been directly responsible for the operations at arenas, stadiums, racetracks, convention centers, fairgrounds, amphitheaters, performing arts facilities and special events throughout the Western United States. Charlie has provided the leadership and the organizational skills required for the design and start up of several new public assembly and sports & recreation venues, as well as skillfully concluding many contract negotiations, that have resulted in Ovations continuous successful growth in the West.
While attending the University of California, Berkeley, Charlie began his career as a concession stand manager at the Greek Theater and soon realized that food service was his calling. Charlie quickly became the Director of Concessions Operations for Fillmore Fingers, the food service company of Bill Graham Enterprises. Soon thereafter, he was elevated to the position of Vice President. While in that position, Charlie oversaw the operations of nine concert and sporting event venues throughout California and was instrumental in the rapid growth of Fillmore Fingers during the years 1982 through 1987.
In 1988, Charlie resigned from his position as Vice President of Fillmore Fingers to become a Principal and Vice President of FanFare Enterprises. His role with FanFare allowed Charlie to demonstrate his work ethic and commitment to the food service industry. While serving as Vice President, Charlie oversaw all administrative functions of the company as well as the direct oversight of operations at several of FanFare’s accounts.
Charlie served as Vice President of FanFare until 2001, when FanFare merged with Ovations to become Ovations FanFare.
Charlie is currently engaged in the supervision of our West Coast Operations and currently oversees all of Ovations’ California Facilities.
